Your Role as an Assistant HVAC Operations Manager
As an Assistant HVAC Operations Manager, you’ll support the HVAC Operations Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth execution of service and installation work, and leading the team toward achieving company goals. Your responsibilities will include:
- Deploy all personnel, resources, and discipline necessary to lead the team to achieve budgeted revenue and profits, goals and objectives.
- Lead and facilitate daily training meetings.
- Train your team daily to execute and plan to ensure daily goals of lead generation, lead conversion and client fulfillment are met.
- Train and manage a team to meet established KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
- Understand budgeting and interpret financial statements.
- Interview and make hiring decisions to add great technicians to the team.
- Manage all subcontractors hired.
- Review client concerns, keeping GM up to date on progress and ensure that they are brought to a successful conclusion.
- Review all invoices and inventory used on each job from prior day.
- Coach HVAC technicians via the phone on every service call.
- Speak with and work with customers to ensure their service needs are met.
- Assist dispatch to ensure proper call assignment.
- Ensure that invoices, monies, contracts, vendor invoices are collected daily, checked, and distributed through the proper channels.
- Ensure all employees operate in a professional manner keeping property, plant, equipment, and themselves clean and presentable.
- Review all prior day's service calls.
- Fill out necessary components of daily reports.
- Ride along and coach technicians with meeting clients' needs while following business processes as needed.
What We are Looking For:
- 2 years management experience
- 2 years HVAC experience
- Microsoft Office Proficiency
- EPA Certification (Type II or Universal)
- Service Titan Proficiency
- OSHA 10 Construction Safety and Health
Physical Requirements
This position may require occasional field visits, standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs). Work is primarily conducted in an office setting but may involve exposure to HVAC job site conditions.
