Job Overview
This position will be responsible for leading the design process and strategy by collaborating with cross-functional teams to research and design for energy companies using NextEra Energy software to design, sell, finance, and install projects. We aspire to design user interfaces that are efficient, intuitive, and provide clarity and insight for our teammates, customers, and partners.
Job Duties
- Drive the vision and project management of EverBright’s design system including typography, color, iconography and componentry, as well as the tools, resources and documentation to support the system.
- Lead the Design System Guild, a team of designers and engineers, fostering a culture of growth and development.
- Maintain EverBright’s Figma libraries for desktop and mobile.
- Collaborate with designers to identify challenges, needs, and opportunities.
- Manage the system’s backlog and roadmap, while refining focus and scope of projects.
- Establish and maintain clear and transparent communication channels with stakeholders and users of the design system.
- Seek opportunities to help others — offering assistance and guidance on implementation of the design system.
- Use qualitative and quantitative research methods to produce insights that will drive design direction.
