The office assistant assists the business manager with administrative tasks as designated for all aspects of the business.
This individual should exemplify strong organizational skills in managing ongoing, long-term projects and deadline-based tasks while ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Manage the customer facing email account, responding, and directing communication as needed.
- Compile, print, & mail current and overdue invoices
- Initiating and returning customer phone calls.
- Filing tasks for both Garden Center and landscape business
- Schedule estimates under the direction of the business manager.
- Process incoming accounts receivable as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Business Manager.
- Demonstrated strong sales and customer service skills
- A consistently positive and hospitable demeanor
- Ability to stay organized and manage time efficiently
- Able to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel, and carry products in order to perform essential duties
- A working knowledge of basic computer skills including:
- Utilizing email for professional communications
- Internet sales & ordering
- Word processing and spreadsheet formation
- Working knowledge of Quickbooks a bonus.
- A demonstrated ability to self-start and complete tasks efficiently and independently.
- A willingness to learn, grow and self-educate in a working environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
