The Gogebic-Ontonagon ISD is seeking applicants for a Special Education Occupational Therapist.Required Credentials : Occupational Therapy Certification / licensure, approved through the Michigan Department of Education. Meets requirements of R340.1792 of the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education.Qualifications : Ability to organize and maintain documentation and meet all deadlines associated therein.Ability to screen and evaluate children referred for special education.Provide direct services and collaborative consultation for students qualifying for special education programs and services.Ability to address obstacles and constraints in a positive manner.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.Ability to work effectively and courteously with staff, students, families and communities.Responsibilities : Implement research-based interventions, supports, and therapy designed to address IEP goals and objectives.Provide therapy that results in educational benefits for students qualifying for special education.Collaborate and coordinate inclusionary practices with all GOISD and LEA administration and staff.Complete student assessments to maintain student growth documentation and use for IEP preparation and implementation.Compensation : Per the terms of the GOISDEA Master AgreementStart Date : Immediately
