How Will You Make a Difference?
Strategy & Planning:
- Define vision and strategic direction for network infrastructure, platforms, and tools
- Drive architecture of operational and revenue-bearing systems to enhance customer value
- Develop and implement enterprise-wide information system strategies
- Spearhead research, development, and deployment of operational systems
- Adapt commercial technology to solve business challenges
- Provide Tier-3 support for core infrastructure (data centers, networks, cloud services)
- Ensure consistent infrastructure standards and procedures
- Lead the Systems Engineering team, setting priorities and motivating staff
- Coordinate cross-team subject matter experts to design and implement complex systems
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure successful product enhancements and deployments
- Oversee projects to modernize SD Government networks, tracking milestones and mitigating risks
- B.S. in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 10 years in IT/technology leadership roles, with 3 years in infrastructure and operations
- 7-10 years managing, developing, and coaching a team
- Ability to obtain a Personal Clearance (PCL)
- Expertise in networks, satellites, information systems, security, and voice routing
- Proficiency in IT infrastructure management, virtualization, Windows/Linux, networking, and security standards (DOD/NIST)
- In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure and platform management, including virtualization, server, storage, AD, DNS, networking, email, backup, Windows, Linux, DOD/NIST IT security guidelines, and endpoint security
- Verse with a variety of scripting/programming languages/environments.
- Designing and testing strategies and architecture
- Experience working with third-party vendors in a managed services model
- Strong leadership skills, having the ability to influence, inspire trust and build relationships with the team, senior leaders, and across the organization
- Enthusiastic problem solver with advanced strategic thinking skills, and strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated and proactively going beyond the call of duty
- Exceptional verbal presentation and written communication skills
Base Pay:
148,000.00 - 185,000.00 USD Annual
