Role Objective
The Commercial Analytics Architect is responsible for developing and maintaining business intelligence models and tools for the GOJO Commercial teams. This role will lead cross functional project teams to identify needs, develop data models, and design and create BI models and dashboards that provide real time insight into sales and financial performance and provide a basis for decision making and accountability. This role will also be responsible for developing and delivering training for other Analytics and Financial team members to ensure appropriate understanding and application of data sources, analytic models and other tools.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Identify and develop key commercial data sources in partnership with IT technical partners
Develop, establish, and maintain commercial business intelligence models, tools and dashboards, with focuses on:
Sales Price
Volume and Mix
End User performance
Business Unit Profitability
Dispenser and variable selling expenses (VSE) investment
Sales Pipeline and Win/Loss performance
Market vs Channel sales and share performance
Automate and communicate the commercial KPI scorecard
Partner with the Director of Data & Analytics to deliver enterprise data and analytics models and tools, including the enterprise KPI scorecard
Partner with commercial leadership to establish and maintain measurement tools to support accountability as it pertains to achievement of enterprise KPIs and strategic focus areas
Ensure a cohesive telling of the commercial performance story
Partner with the internal customer base to provide understanding of gaps and needs, maintenance and communication the development pipeline
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, information systems or a related quantitative field required
Minimum four (4) years of experience working in an analytics role within a Finance or Commercial business team
Deep experience required building and using financial, analytical and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
Experience using data management and data curation tools and/or processes (R, Python, DAX)
Experience applying predictive analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence
Ability to see and understand whole system needs with the ability to drill in and solve point specific problems
Strategic and analytical mindset – ability to connect data trends and insights to business performance driving recommendations
Supervision/Coordination
Reports to the Data & Analytics Team Leader
Collaborates directly/frequently with the C-suite executives, Finance and IT leaders as well as cross-functionally with other Enterprise teams
Leads/Manages various Enterprise project teams
Does not directly supervise other GOJO team members
Travel Requirements
Overnight Travel - sporadic - required.
