Reponsibilities
- Develop process flows, design and draft layout of equipment, materials, assembly stations, people flow and facilities
- Possess knowledge of automated assembly, robotic handling and vision-based detection/measurement fields.
- Ability to offer technical recommendations for warehousing solutions
- Support the development and proposal of tactics to align with warehousing strategy
- Provide time study and capacity analysis data.
- Analyze the layouts and processes to optimize material flow, labor efficiency, safety, quality, productivity and ergonomics. Develop short- and long-term solutions to problems found
- Measure, establish and optimize capacity specs/targets (OEE and cycle times)
- Develop documentation and procedures to ensure compliance specific to customer and regulatory production requirements and specifications.
- Travel as required
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Education with the following specialties preferred: Manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, Automotive, Industrial.
- 5 years Industrial and Warehouse planning experience.
- Experience with 2D CAD tools such as AutoCAD etc.
- Knowledge in OEE, capacity planning, cycle time analysis and line balancing.
- Ability to analyze data for process improvements.
- Experience doing detailed analysis necessary to make data-driven decisions on warehouse or production line design.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specification documents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS office.
- Travel up to 25% domestic and international
