Gokoh Coldwater Inc. (aka GCI) is a leading tier two supplier of sand cores for the automotive industry. We manufacture cores for casting of brake rotors and water passages.
We are seeking a candidate to fill a Forklift Operator position for our Quality Department on day shift. The prime function of this position is to provide support to the supply chain through collecting, loading, shipping and receiving warehouse products. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating technical equipment, optimizing loading for efficient logistics and supporting other warehouse functions to ensure optimal operation of the business. Flexibility with scheduled workdays and shift preference is required.
Basic Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Operate forklift or other hand truck
- Adhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the company
- Perform cycle counts as required
- Inspect and perform maintenance of forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Identify safety hazards in the workplace
- Consolidate partial pallets for incoming goods
- Performs quality control inspections of materials
- Maintain proper documentation
- Keep area clean at all times
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED required
- Experience operating powered forklifts
- Knowledge of various material-handling equipment is an asset
- Proficient in mathematics
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations
- Possess a high regard for safety in the workplace
- Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
- Ability to work within a team
