We are seeking a visionary and hands-on VP of Engineering to lead, strategize, and actively contribute to the development of innovative solutions for our marketplace platform .

Strategic Leadership :

Define and execute the engineering strategy aligned with business goals, focusing on marketplace features, scalability, and customer experience.
Collaborate closely with other executives and stakeholders to align technical initiatives with company objectives.

Technical Contribution :

Be a hands-on leade r, actively contributing to coding, debugging, and architecture decisions .

Lead and participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of quality.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges alongside the team.

Team Collaboration and Management :

Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Infrastructure Scaling :

Lead efforts to scale and optimize AWS infrastructure to ensure performance, security, and cost-efficiency.

Development Process Optimization :

Drive and refine development workflows.

Emerging Trends :

Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, especially those relevant to marketplaces, and leverage them to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications :

Experience : 10 years i n software engineering, with 5 years in a leadership role (Director or VP level preferred).

Technical Expertise : Proven experience with JavaScript frameworks (Node.js, React, or similar) and AWS services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3).

Domain Knowledge : Experience in building and scaling marketplace platforms or related products.

Leadership Skills : Strong track record of building and scaling engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.

Preferred Skills :

Experience with DevOps practices and CI / CD pipelines.

Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

Knowledge of data analytics and machine learning as they apply to marketplaces.
