2nd Shift 3pm - 11:15pm
JOB OBJECTIVES
Wallboard that is culled during the production process is ground down to a powder form and run through a process to remove the liner paper from the core. The processed gypsum core is then fed back into the process where it is blended with raw gypsum and reintroduced into the board making process. The liner paper is recycled off site and used in various applications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Operate mobile heavy equipment (front end loader, excavator, horizontal grinder, trommel, and stackers). Perform daily preventive maintenance of mobile equipment, conveyors, scrapers, e-stops, feeders, and head box. Inspects equipment for leaks, damage, build up, wear and tear. Complete PM-30 sheets each week. Monitor truck loading. Will need to work with off site employees as well as contractors to ensure that all processes are maintained.
JOB STANDARDS
Must be able to operate and maintain heavy equipment listed above. Have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
JOB LOCATION
Outdoor area of the rock pile
EQUIPMENT
Mobile heavy equipment, small hand tools, high pressure washer, pneumatic equipment, brooms, shovels
CRITICAL SKILLS/EXPERTISE
Safe and efficient operational knowledge of heavy equipment. Trouble-shoot processing equipment/alarms and solve problems as necessary.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Housekeeping responsibilities within the Plant and Mill when weather or equipment servicing does not allow for processing.
