DESCRIPTION :
Gold Crest Care Center is actively hiring a full-time Food Service Director for our Skilled Nursing Facility in the Bronx, NY. We are seeking a candidate with prior experience in healthcare food services, food preparation, and supervising a diverse workforce.
DUTIES :
- Plans, assigns & supervises the work of Food Service Staff
- Schedules and assigns staff, prepares department payroll for data entry
- Trains and oversees dietary staff on compliance with state and federal regulation for proper food preparation techniques, food storage, operation of kitchen equipment, safety procedures, sanitation, etc
- Investigates and resolves complaints regarding food quality and service
- Maintains awareness of special dietary or nutritional requirements of specific residents
- Supervises the storage & care of food and supplies
- Osersees the cleaning of the kitchen, storage, & dining areas, and equipment
- Checks resident's trays for accuracy with a specified menu; assists with meal service at times
- Menu ticket modification, printing meal tickets, menu and food preference data input
- Coordinates and plans food preparation activities for special events
