Responsible for the preventative maintenance, repairing, and continual operation of all Central Laundry Facility equipment. The Laundry Plant Engineer II assists with the daily laundry production and adjusts the equipment as necessary to ensure the quality of the finished linen and terry items. Responsible for closely monitoring the equipment throughout the production process to ensure operational down-time is minimized. Reports directly to the Laundry Chief Engineer. Engineer II assists the Laundry Director of Operations, Laundry Chief Plant Engineer, Production Manager, Production Supervisor, and Laundry Attendants to maximize plant productivity and efficiencies. This role will require the Engineer II to perform maintenance services after production hours while the laundry machines are not in operation.
Experience Minimum of one year of maintenance experience, with special emphasis on preventative maintenance preferred.
Experience High schools diploma required, any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
Experience Significant experience with all maintenance disciplines.
Skill Possess a working knowledge of electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing, mechanics to include water and steam.
Skill Proficient in reading OEM schematics, reading equipment manuals, and ordering repair parts.
Skill Must have a working knowledge of computers and MS Office programs to include Word, Outlook and Excel.
Skill Able to listen to and process oral and written instructions, have customer awareness and sensitivity skills, and ability to organize and schedule plant personnel, assign work and ensure task completion on a daily basis.
Skill Able to multi-task, research part suppliers, be highly organized, etc.
- Provide daily routine preventative maintenance and repairs to all Central Laundry equipment to include greasing/ lubricating, checking belt and/ or chain tension, making sure the equipment is clean and lint-free and performing a general inspection to ensure proper functionality.
- Maintain and track inventory spare parts, supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Works with all of the production and mechanical equipment throughout the plant.
- Attends all departmental, company- wide, and factory in-service training and education programs.
- Provides prompt feedback to the Chief Laundry Plant Engineer and Engineer I on production,
- maintenance, safety, security, and physical environment issues.
- Always works as a team player to provide quality linen services, whether directly or indirectly. With a scope of responsibility, each employee will assist other team members in accomplishing their job duties in order to "get the job done".
- Holds self and team members accountable for knowledge of and full compliance with customer service performance standards as listed on all team member's job descriptions. Customer is defined as hotel guest, restaurant patron, fellow employee, and supplier/vendor.

- Responsible for preventative maintenance, repairing, and operating all of the Central Laundry plant equipment.

- Laundry equipment
- Kitchen equipment
- Air handlers
- Pumps
- Motors
- Repairs all equipment as needed
- Repairs all in-unit items as needed on appliances, cabinetry, doors, etc.
- Performs all necessary laundry facility and public area repairs and maintenance.
- Provide General "handyman" skills
