We seek a Logistics Operations Specialist with similar experience in the field of logistics/transportation and great excel skills to provide daily operations/administrative support to the logistics operations department.

On-site Position… Potential for Growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL TASKS

• Daily coordination of all logistics activities, including 3rd party responsibilities, deliveries and backhauls.
• Serves as backup to dispatch for additional coverage.
• Organizes departmental files and maintains logs, charts and reports.
• Analyzes department KPI’s.
• Completes department reporting (Fuel, Mileage, maintenance, billing …etc.) on a timely basis.
• Assists with safety and DOT reporting.
• Files documents in logistics systems.
• Maintains and updates Logistics department policies.
• Promotes company policies, safety, accurate work and cost savings.
• Aids in the monitoring of damaged trays and racks to ensure that they are systematically removed from use, repaired and promptly returned.
• Always operates according to company core values of caring, commitment, and integrity.

QUALIFICATIONS
Preparation and Training

• Work requires a minimum of a high school diploma. College degree preferred.
• CDL license a plus
• Strong computer skills required, including e-mail management and MS Office (Advanced skill in MS Excel required, including VLOOKUP and Pivot tables).
• Proficiency in Transportation programs is preferred.
• Must be self-motivated with great initiative and ability to work independently.
• Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong work ethic.
• Must be able to take initiative and work independently.
• Must be highly organized, detail oriented and capable of multi-tasking.
• Ability to take ownership and be accountable for issue resolution.

Work Experience
Position is filled by appointment as determined by management. A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a similar role in the transportation/distribution/logistics industry is preferred.

Location Requirement
Must be able to work on-site in the Fall River, MA facility.
