Gold Medal is the world leader in the manufacture and distribution of concession equipment and related food products. We have enjoyed continued success and growth for over 90 years. We are excited to announce a Welding and Machine Shop Manager opportunity available at our Evendale location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees and directs daily operations of the Welding and Machine shop operations.
- Directly supervises up to 30 employees.
- Provides professional leadership as it relates to safety, performance and in interaction with others.
· Teaches, trains and coaches team members for success.
- Performs set up and preventive maintenance on HAAS CNC Machines including the use of Haas controls and G & M codes.
- Performs off-line programming.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Diploma/GED required
· Technical School certificate/degree preferred.
· 5-7 years of Machine Shop leadership experience required.
· 1-3 years of Tig Welding experience preferred.
· Experience with AutoDesk Inventor drafting software.
· Experience programming and use of Mill’s “A” axis.
· Experience programming “C” axis and live tooling on HAAS CNC Lathes
· Must be able to read, follow and understand blueprints, methods and procedural instructions.
· Ability to regularly stand, bend and reach and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
· Experience creating machine set-up sheet instructions including tool lengths and work offsets.
· Ability to multi-task and be proactive in managing the flow of parts through the shop.
