Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Count Room Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our count room. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of supervisory experience, preferably in banking or gaming, and a strong ability to maintain accuracy and efficiency in cash handling procedures. This position requires exceptional organizational skills and the ability to balance financial transactions at the end of each shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the count room team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the collection, counting, verification, and reconciliation of cash and other monetary instruments.
- Ensure all count room activities follow established internal controls and security procedures.
- Train and mentor count room employees, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Conduct audits and investigations as needed to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and verify financial reports, ensuring proper balancing at the end of each shift.
- Maintain detailed records of cash movements and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
- Communicate with management and other departments to address any financial concerns or irregularities.
- Ensure count room equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations related to gaming and financial transactions.
Qualifications:
- 2 to 4 years of supervisory experience in a cash-handling environment (banking or gaming preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
- Ability to balance financial transactions and generate reports at the end of each shift.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.
- Knowledge of internal controls and compliance requirements in a regulated environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move cash boxes or other materials as required.
- Able to lift 25 lbs. alone or 50 lbs. with help.
- Comfortable working in a secure, monitored environment.
