Job Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for upholding operational compliance with state and federal laws, ensuring smooth and efficient team dispensary operations, supporting team development, and overseeing standardized operating procedures. The Store Manager is responsible for providing a welcoming and positive customer and employee experience.
Duties and responsibilities or (Essential Functions)
- Manages point-of-sale, inventory, financial records and cash handling procedures
- Motivate staff to achieve daily, weekly and monthly sales goals
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of every product available for purchase in the store and stay up to date with the latest trends in the cannabis industry
- Help with the creation of staff schedule accommodating for traffic trends
- Trains and monitors staff on sales, products and operations to ensure an excellent shopping experience for our customers
- Ensures the dispensary remains compliant with all regulations and manages state inspections
- Maintains POS, cash and inventory protocols, and audits according to both state regulatory requirements and internal policies; investigates and reconciles discrepancies
- Provides a strong leadership presence to guide, coach, and lead the overall customer experience
- Maintains accurate records of all dispensary activities including daily cash reconciliations, customers records, sales, deliveries and returns. Resolves POS or product discrepancies, and performs store opening and closing procedures
- Communicates regulatory changes and provides training. Monitors adherence to SOPs.
- Effectively manages recordkeeping requirements and submissions to the Store Manager
- Perform additional duties on an as needed basis
- Prefer Associate Degree in Business, or equivalent experience
- A minimum of one years' retail management experience
- Prior hospitality and customer service experience required
- Strong leadership skills with a minimum of 1 year leading teams
- Must have problem solving abilities without having a set system of how to dos
- Must have a highly professional demeanor and strong work ethic with excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Ability to work independently and carry out dispensary functions to completion within SOP instructions and standards
- Proficient in using point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management software, and other dispensary-related tools and technologies
- Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays as required
- Must be over age 21, able to obtain State required credentials, and pass a criminal background check
