What are the responsibilities and job description for the Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver position at Gold Standard Transport?

Gold Standard Transport is seeking a dedicated NEMT Driver to join our team to provide safe and comfortable transportation for individuals requiring non-emergency medical transportation services. Scheduled shift is Sunday through Thursday from approximately 10 am to approximately 7 pm.
Responsibilities Include:
- Safely transport clients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities.
- Assist clients with entering and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey.
- Follow established routes and schedules, while also being adaptable to changes and modifications as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, conducting routine inspections and reporting any issues promptly.
- Uphold high standards of professionalism and customer service, maintaining a respectful and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and any incidents that may occur during transportation.
- Comply with all relevant transportation regulations, including traffic laws and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to pass a drug screen.
- Must be at least 25 years old.
- Compassionate and patient attitude, particularly when dealing with individuals with medical needs.
- Ability to follow directions, work independently, and demonstrate reliability.
- Familiarity with local routes and destinations, as well as GPS navigation systems.
- Physical ability to assist clients with mobility challenges, as required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in non-emergency medical transportation is a plus but not necessary.
- Flexibility with start and finish times.
