SUMMARY:
The Gold Star Feed & Grain Merchandising Assistant is required to process and carry out their duties in a timely manner. Those mission critical responsibilities include but are not limited to; contract entry and application, accounts payable and receivable, freight processing and brokerage all within the accounting software, Agris. The Gold Star Feed & Grain Merchandising Assistant also is directly involved in inventory reconciliation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily ticket application, which includes contract execution and maintenance.
- Accurate processing and settlement of commodities used in Mill facilities (Mill Loads)
- Sorting of daily mail and/or paperwork received i.e. freight bills and/or weight certificates.
- Track and Ship entry.
- Timely invoicing of customers.
- Timely execution of payables. (Checks and/or Credit memos)
- Customer service - i.e., informing vendors of contract status, billing issues, shipment issues, etc.
- Keeping accurate and organized files including scanning all documents into FileBound when possible.
- Contract entry.
- Processing of freight payables for all entries.
- Process and pay all brokerage associated with commodities that are processed.
- Assist Group Traders/Sales Dept., etc. in requesting dated accounts receivables and contract balances.
Requirements
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook).
- Agriculture commodity knowledge background a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, multi-task, and prioritize objectives.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Light physical effort in an office environment.
- Frequent computer use, date entry and email.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
Salary : $22 - $27
