POSITION OVERVIEW :
The Maintenance Technician Sets up and operates a variety of machines to make sure that they are ready for products that will run on them. Monitor lines and change and record all of film used on all lines. Monitor, change and record all labels used on machines. Make minor adjustments to machines to make better workflow and appearance of packaging on machines.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Install, inspect, operate, and test machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks, including replacing light bulbs, ceiling tiles, flooring, etc.
- Paint or repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, and other parts of building structures.
- Provide groundskeeping services, such as landscaping and operating industrial floor scrubbers / sweepers.
- Check and identify electrical / wiring issues and perform minor plumbing tasks.
- Conduct basic building sanitation duties, including trash removal and sweeping floors.
- Perform packaging machine changeovers and report any materials used for restocking.
- Collaborate with the facility supervisor to identify and correct facility issues.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of GMPs, Food Safety Practices, and lockout / tagout procedures.
- Observe and monitor operating machines or equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Always maintain a neat and clean work area.
- Demonstrate consistent, on-time attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS :
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :
One-year certificate from college / or technical school : or three to six months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of both experience and training.
