Position Summary
Gold Star Gamers is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Mentorship Program Manager to lead the creation and management of a new virtual mentorship program. This full-time role will be based on-site (with hybrid flexibility) in Bellevue, WA. The Program Manager will play a critical role in developing and executing mentorship initiatives that connect children with supportive mentors through gaming-based engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, launch, and manage a virtual mentorship program for children of fallen military service members.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteer mentors
- Facilitate and organize mentorship gaming sessions and community events
- Monitor program effectiveness and implement improvements based on feedback
- Maintain strong relationships with mentors, mentees, and families
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to promote program success
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in project planning and project management within a relevant industry.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Experience in program development with a focus on achieving strategic objectives.
- Familiarity with process mapping techniques and change management principles.
- Proficient in project scheduling tools and methodologies.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data effectively for informed decision-making.
Qualifications
- Experience in Program Management, Case Management, or related fields
- Strong organizational planning and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to train and support mentors with empathy and professionalism
- Passion for gaming and understanding of its therapeutic potential
- Familiarity with the military/veteran community is a plus
- Experience working with children dealing with grief or trauma is highly valued
- Spanish proficiency is a plus
- A bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is preferred
