Job Summary
Gold Star Appliance and Lighting is seeking a skilled Appliance Installer to join our team. In this role, you will travel to customers’ homes and businesses, install new appliances. The ideal candidate is friendly, reliable, and has the technical skills to get the job done. Customer satisfaction is a top priority.
Responsibilities:
- Estimate the costs of installation
- Repair appliances
- Provide preventative maintenance and warranty services
- Adhere to manufacturer recommendations
- Teach homeowners how to operate their appliances
- Maintain accurate and detailed records
- Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm (occasional installations may be made from 4-6 but we would provide advanced notice and payment for the time)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED
- Associates degree or appliance repair certification preferred (however we would pay for the education in this field for the right candidate interested in this opportunity)
- Previous experience as an Appliance Repair Technician is preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- EPA 608 refrigerant recovery certification to work on air conditioners and refrigerators is preferred but not required
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
- Excellent customer service skills
