Job Title: HR Director
The Gold Strike Tunica Hotel and Casino is seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to serve as a strategic partner to the property's leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate business needs into actionable people plans, identifying skill gaps, and ensuring HR compliance.
- Partner with management to ensure alignment of Human Resources strategy with property and overall company strategies.
- Direct the human resource functions for the property, collaborating with HR Centers of Expertise to implement and execute HR programs.
- Lead all union relation activities at the property, establishing a proactive positive employee relations climate.
- Recommend and implement procedures and process improvements to enhance employee engagement, departmental efficiency, service delivery, and risk reduction.
- Serve as a consultant to the leadership team, providing expert advice, counsel, guidance, and support on all HR-related issues.
- Oversee, measure, and monitor the effectiveness of the property's staffing function, including determining sourcing strategies and implementing recruiting best practices.
- Monitor HR compliance requirements within the business and work proactively to mitigate human capital risk.
- Stay informed of current trends in Human Resources practices and management, identifying opportunities for appropriate incorporation into HR and business plans.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Eight to ten (8-10) years of progressive Human Resources experience, including a minimum of three (3) years in a leadership role.
- Ability to provide expert consultation and build strong, credible relationships with senior leadership, peers, and subordinates.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools, HR enterprise systems, and recruiting technology.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Advanced degree in a related field.
- Professional certification in a related HR field (e.g., Demonstrated Employee and/or Labor Relations experience).
