Summary:
The Regulatory Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the organization adheres to all applicable regulations, guidelines, and internal policies. This role supports compliance efforts by monitoring regulatory requirements, assisting with audits and inspections, and coordinating documentation to maintain adherence to industry standards. The coordinator works closely with various departments to ensure operational compliance and mitigate regulatory risks.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Serve as the liaison between VSP, IACUC, and the Animal Research Compliance Office
- Maintain regulatory documentation and compliance records
- Conduct laboratory inspections to ensure adherence to protocols
- Assist with compliance inspections and site visits
- Review and process animal use protocols
- Prepare reports and maintain compliance databases
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Detailed knowledge of federal regulations and policies for animal research
- Strong data management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Minimum Qualifications:
- AALAS certification at the LATG level
- Minimum of 3 years in an animal facility of similar size and scope
- Experience with regulatory documentation and compliance monitoring
- Ability to pass a employment background check
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts
- Certified Professional in IACUC Administration (CPIA)
Pay and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $49,000 - $89,000 annually.
