Summary:

The Temporary Shareholder Services Director will support the Shareholder Services team by managing operations, timecards, and benefits inquiries while ensuring high-quality service. They will oversee the scholarship and internship program with team support and collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance shareholder services.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Team Support & Operations
    • Provide leadership and guidance to the Shareholder Services team, ensuring a collaborative and efficient work environment
    • Manage team timecards and time-off requests to ensure proper staffing and workflow
    • Serve as a primary resource for the team, answering questions related to shareholder services, benefits, and company policies
  • Scholarship & Internship Program Management
    • Oversee the administration of the scholarship and internship programs, including application processes, selection criteria, and funding allocations
    • Work closely with the Shareholder Services team to ensure smooth execution of program initiatives
    • Support shareholders in accessing professional development opportunities through the programs
  • Shareholder Services & Engagement
    • Assist the team in providing high-quality service to shareholders, addressing inquiries and concerns effectively
    • Maintain strong relationships with shareholders by providing clear and timely information
    • Support the planning and execution of shareholder events, such as meetings and informational sessions
  • Administrative & Process Management
    • Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with shareholder management policies and regulations, including managing timecards and time-off requests to maintain proper staffing and workflow
    • Support the implementation of best practices to improve efficiency and service delivery
    • Maintain confidentiality and uphold corporate values and mission
  • Performs other incidental, special projects, and related duties as required and assigned

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of ANCSA, shareholder management, and corporate governance
  • Understanding of scholarship and internship program administration, including application processes and selection criteria
  • Ability to supervise, mentor, and evaluate program staff
  • Ability to embrace change, learn quickly, and thrive in a dynamic corporate environment
  • Skill in working harmoniously within cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
  • Possesses attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically, both verbally and in writing, with co-workers and with outside agencies, partners, shareholders, and business associates
  • Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity, with the ability to adapt messages and strategies for diverse audiences
  • Strong proficiency in standard software applications, including Windows and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, education, human resources, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in shareholder services, program management, or a related field
  • Experience managing scholarship and internship programs
  • Strong understanding of Alaska Native cultures and values
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Previous experience working with Alaska Native Corporations (ANCs)
  • Previous government contracting experience
