Goldberg Segalla, a dynamic and rapidly growing law firm with a national practice, seeks a highly motivated and organized individual to join its team as a Billing Compliance Analyst &Trainer to join its Albany or Buffalo office. The Billing Compliance Analyst will be responsible for ensuring adherence to client and internal firm standard guidelines analyzing appeal data and rule violation reports to target areas for improvement and developing tailored education plans. The Analyst will work to deploy training and resources to achieve improvement and meet client expectations. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with both internal teams and clients.
This role is eligible to be on a hybrid work schedule after on-site training is completed.

This role offers a hourly salary and bonus opportunity. The hourly salary range for this position is $24.00 to $31.00. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: :
- Maintain working knowledge as a subject matter expert of Client Guidelines, and Appeal Process.
- Review appeal result data and rule violation reports daily.
- Analyze data to identify compliance failures daily.
- Develop tailored education plans for groups or individuals depending on needs.
- Provide training and education to necessary parties.
- Track progress of compliance improvement daily.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing compliance activities, findings, and actions taken daily.
- Create and maintain department training materials.
- Provide weekly live onboarding training sessions.
- Assist in making determinations for Standard Firm Guideline exemption requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES & EXPERIENCE: :
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply complex data and guidelines.
- Working knowledge of purpose and significance of guidelines and the implications of poor compliance.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with case management software.
- Regularly required to clearly communicate and exchange information in English.
- Strong organization and time management skills
- May be requested to work beyond normal work hours and weekends for special projects
- Works well in a team environment
- Ability to work independently within general guidelines and minimal supervision
- Ability to recognize the need for confidentiality of information and to maintain such confidences
- Ability to effectively communicate, and nurture working relationships with all levels of management, staff, clients, and insurance claim representatives.
- Ability to respond to internal or external inquiries, including those of a sensitive, confidential, or adversarial nature
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and execute responsibilities in the face of conflicting priorities or unexpected situations
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2 years of similar work experience in a law firm setting or similar environment
- Previous experience in legal billing a plus
