Job Summary
NextBug is an exciting new department at GoldBug, focused on driving growth, exploring new business opportunities, and expanding into untapped markets. Designed to be agile and adaptable, NextBug enables us to test ideas, move quickly, and collaborate with internal teams to bring new opportunities to life.
In this role, you'll be instrumental in turning NextBug’s vision into reality by building scalable processes, ensuring seamless execution, and driving operational excellence to support our growth goals. Reporting to the VP of New Business Development, you’ll play a critical role in establishing the systems and workflows needed to onboard and service new accounts efficiently.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Operational Process Development
- Develop operational workflows for new accounts to ensure scalability and efficiency
- Manage vendor onboarding processes, ensuring all documentation and compliance requirements are met
- Track and manage product availability to ensure readiness for new accounts
- Coordinate with internal teams (Product Development, Logistics, Merchandising) to align timelines and deliverables
2. Project Management and Process Improvement
- Develop and maintain operational project timelines for new business initiatives
- Monitor key milestones and follow up to ensure deadlines are met
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for business development processes
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to streamline workflows
3. Account Management
- Support relationship management efforts with potential and existing retail partners
- Assist with preparing pitches, presentations, and proposals for new accounts
- Ensure all necessary materials and samples are available for client meetings and trade shows
The ideal candidate:
· A minimum of 4 years of operational or startup experience
· Strong operational project management skills to develop and execute project plans for new sales channels, including inventory planning, warehouse coordination, and compliance with retailer requirements
· Self-starter with operational expertise and a solution-oriented mindset, capable of building and optimizing processes with minimal guidance
· Experience in retail operations, vendor onboarding, and inventory planning to support business expansion
· Adaptable and results-driven, with a focus on meeting deadlines and performance milestones
· Experience with project management software and CRM systems to support business development activities
· Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner cross-functionally
· Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a startup-like environment, with the flexibility to take on a variety of tasks to help get new initiatives up and running
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
· Must be okay to work in a dog friendly office
Other job Details:
· Salary Range: $85,000-$95,000 DOE, Eligible for up to 15% bonus based on defined growth targets and performance metrics
· Status: Full-Time
· Reports to: VP of New Business Development
