GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Digital Product Owner-Digital Banking Experience will be responsible for managing the performance of retail digital banking properties to ensure their optimal performance, adoption and level of experience. This includes, but is not limited to, such platforms as the mobile and online banking, alerts, payments features embedded into the website, etc. Develops and manages the tactical roadmap for corresponding digital feature sets, reconciling it with the peers on the Digital Services team to produce a cohesive roadmap recommendation. Supports ongoing projects, understanding the product design, driving development of these services, and creating a seamless, convenient, positive experience for members and Golden 1 employees. Working in a dynamic environment, leads or serves on cross-functional teams to develop competitive products and services that deliver value for our members and efficiency for the company. Uses data to develop a deep understanding of member needs and wants, to identify and fill product, feature set and experience gaps, manage a roadmap and generate new ideas that improve the member experience and ultimately strengthen Golden 1’s position in its aspirations to be the best digital credit union in California.
TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:
The Digital Product Owner-Digital Banking Experience is responsible for managing the retail digital self-service feature sets across sales, acquisition, onboarding and self-service platforms and digital channels.
Takes ownership and bears responsibility for the overall optimal performance of the retail digital banking platforms in general.
Combine deep subject matter expertise, vision, strategy, and product management capabilities to produce highly integrated and effective digital solutions and tools.
Incorporate new insights sourced from direct member input, as well as the latest cutting-edge technologies and trends to consistently surpass member expectations in a constantly changing environment.
Guarantee a seamless member experience across both the Online Banking and Mobile Banking platforms.
Accountable for managing member communications and awareness pertaining to any alterations, updates, service interruptions, or other factors that may impact or disrupt the collective Digital Banking experience of our entire membership.
Defines, delivers, and manages a digital experience roadmap for the above-mentioned product portfolio across the relevant digital channels with input from key stakeholders across the organization.
Manages the lifecycle of relevant Golden 1 digital services, milestones, new features, and functionality.
Supports ongoing projects, understands product design, drives development, and creates a seamless, convenient, positive experience for members and employees.
Provides input into product vision, goal setting, execution, and product roll-out strategies.
Uses data and personas to uncover opportunities, track digital performance, and inform product design and development decisions to drive digital adoption and performance.
Assists and guides business partners in developing business requirements, timelines, milestones, and dependencies.
Leads or works closely with cross-functional teams on requirements and drives user experience design and journey discussions.
Coordinates with other functional teams to support communication about digital initiatives and the creation of member facing collateral.
Identifies possible automated or digital solutions for customer issues and establish success criteria and measurable results.
Maintains a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws
Ensures alignment at all times key stakeholders (IT, Operations, Fraud, and Marketing) to deliver a cohesive, brand-right and superior member and employee experience.
Performs other duties as needed by management.
PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASKS:
Effective oral and written communication skills required to varying levels of analytical daily tasks.
Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate standard office equipment such as a personal computer, VOIP telephone, printers, scanners, etc.
ORGANIZATIONAL CONTACTS & RELATIONSHIPS:
INTERNAL: All levels of staff.
EXTERNAL: Vendors, management, other financial institutions, and other contact centers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 7 or more years in Product or Project Management preferably in financial services; two years experience in online or mobile banking is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Strong thought leadership required to manage the development and growth of products.
Leadership skills to manage and work with cross-functional business partners and team.
Demonstrated experience in successful application of the Jobs-To-Be-Done framework to solving complex business problems and driving performance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged sitting throughout the workday with occasional mobility required.
Corrected vision within the normal range.
Hearing within normal range. A device to enhance hearing will be provided if needed.
Occasional movements throughout the department daily to interact with staff, accomplish tasks, etc.
Required to be on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to ensure timely and appropriate resolution of any issue that may arise regarding resources under scope of responsibility.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Product Management certification from a US-accredited institution is preferred.
