PAY RANGE: $122,900.00 - $140,000.00 ANNUALLY
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Lending Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the compliance of the credit union's lending operations with federal, state, and local regulations. This role ensures that the Credit Union’s lending practices are in alignment with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. The Lending Compliance Manager will collaborate with various departments to develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures that promote a culture of compliance within the organization.
This position has an opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where the contributions will directly impact G1’s compliance posture and operational success of G1. Compliance Advisory Services is a 2LOD function providing support within Compliance organization and oversight for 1LOD functions where applicable.
TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:
Supervise, manage, and mentor staff members, as appropriate.
Foster a positive work environment by promoting engagement and creating a culture of continuous improvement through skill development and career planning.
Provide proactive lending compliance guidance to business units (1LOD) and oversight to the 2LOD Compliance staff.
Assist the Director of Compliance Advisory Services with development, implementation, and maintenance of the lending compliance programs.
Active participation in annual and ongoing risk assessment campaigns as a Subject Matter Expect, providing effective check & challenge to 1LOD teams.
Support the creation and revision of policies, procedures, and internal controls to align with current regulations and industry best practices. Ensure that these policies are communicated effectively to relevant stakeholders and properly implemented.
Develop lending compliance training content to ensure understanding and adherence to applicable regulations.
Assist with responding to consumer complaints.
Participate in preparation of compliance reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry trends to ensure Golden 1’s compliance programs remain up to date.
Collaborates with 1LOD teams to understand core business activities, risks, products, and transactions to appropriately customize and support the Credit Union’s Compliance Program.
Works closely with Managers within Compliance to ensure harmony in approach to compliance matters and processes.
Play an active role with regulators during exams, audits, and other regulatory interactions.
Provide guidance and support on complex projects and initiatives.
PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASK:
Effective oral and written communication skills required to prepare and present recommendations, perform analysis and accomplish other functions as required.
Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate an on-line computer terminal and other standard office equipment, such as financial calculators, personal computer, facsimile machine and telephone.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
EXPERIENCE:
6 years of experience as a Financial Services experience in consumer protection regulatory compliance, internal audit, external audit, financial services operations, or consumer protection compliance program development/evaluation,
5 years supervisory experience with an emphasis on financial services.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
Extensive knowledge of lending compliance laws, rules, regulations.
Team management skills and experience.
Ability to inspire and motivate compliance staff and business partners.
Ability to execute on strategies to build and enhance G1’s compliance programs.
Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple contemporaneous matters.
Comfortable operating on an unpaved road and dealing with ambiguity.
Strong judgment of priorities and high integrity.
Detail oriented, at the same time understanding the big picture.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as Adobe Acrobat Pro and
SharePoint.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged sitting throughout the workday with occasional mobility required.
Corrected vision within the normal range.
Hearing within normal range. A device to enhance hearing will be provided if needed.
Ability to lift 15 lbs. as may be required.
Occasional movements throughout the department daily to interact with staff, accomplish tasks, etc.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Certification preferred, but not required; Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE), NAFCU’s Certified Compliance Officer (NCCO), Certified Bank Compliance Officer (CBCO), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)
