GENERAL DESCRIPTION :
Responsible for the administration of all aspects of physical security necessary to protect the employees and assets of the Golden 1 Credit Union. Performs internal investigations as necessary.

TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS :
- Administer the corporate security strategy ensuring compliance with security goals stated in the corporate security program.
- Assess branch and Operations center adherence to corporate security programs and procedures assisting all areas as necessary. Each corporate security officer is responsible for branch assessments of branches located throughout California.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws appropriate to the position.
- Administer all aspects of the physical security program in maintaining all security devices (video, alarm, etc.) and access control and security equipment including vault and building access. Provide executive protection and seek to minimize threats to senior management consistent with the objectives of the security program.
- Communicate and interact with the Electronic Services Division management and staff, ATM service vendors, and guard service companies on operational and equipment matters including security and integrity of the electronic payments system.
- Work with armed and unarmed security guards and provide direction as necessary for ensuring actions are in compliance with corporate security policy, procedures, and objectives.
- Respond to bank robbery calls providing an effective liaison between staff and law enforcement officers. Provide training and awareness for branch and headquarters personnel regarding proper procedures relevant to bank robberies or other hostile takeovers which includes travel to branches statewide for such training.
- Conduct interviews and investigations relevant to Violence in the Workplace (VWP) issues. Administer corporate policies and procedures concerning violence in the workplace. Assist with internal investigations and inquiries as necessary which include employee theft and misappropriation, compromises of member information and other fraud and criminal matters.
- Travel to proposed branch locations and conduct a preliminary security assessment in order to assist branch administration in the site selection process.
