This role is crucial in supporting our hotel operations by providing clean and fresh items for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Launder and dry clean various items including linens, towels, and uniforms according to established procedures.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store laundry items efficiently.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness in the laundry area by regularly cleaning machines and workspaces.
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols while handling chemicals and equipment.
- Assist in the organization of laundry deliveries and pickups as needed.
- Provide excellent service by responding promptly to requests from hotel staff regarding laundry needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role preferred, particularly in a hotel environment.
- Familiarity with laundering techniques including dry cleaning is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
