The Golden Charter Academy is an innovative start-up charter school that opened in Fresno, CA in August 2021. It is a place-based, science-oriented school that emphasizes environmental stewardship, social justice, and equity. The instructional approach employs Universal Design for Learning (UDL), a strategy to provide successful pathways for student success in all learners. GCA has a formal partnership with the Fresno Chaffee Zoo, where students utilize the zoo as a living, educational laboratory.
Golden Charter Academy is seeking a Campus Safety Coordinator responsibilities are to patrol school property, and to respond to incidents pertaining to the safety and protection of the students, staff and property on Golden Charter Academy Campus. Campus Coordinators will assist with the daily and special events safety of Golden Charter Academy; patrol and monitor while maintaining order and safety. Providing a safe, clean, and orderly learning and working environment; ensure student compliance with Golden Charter Academy policies and regulations. Campus Coordinator will assist in guidance and ensuring the safety of children as they engage in activities throughout campus.

The Campus Coordinator will also assist in the establishment and implementation of appropriate school-wide behavior and assist students to access all aspects of the educational environment of GCA and the community. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for all aspects pertaining to the campus welfare of our students.
- Enforce Golden Charter Academy program and the school’s rules and policies.
- Oversee safe and secure daily campus operations including consistent supervisory laps during school periods and activities.
- Provide direction and support to Guest, Students, and Staff.
- Patrols areas in and around schools as needed; confronts trespassers as necessary; assists in the intervention of individuals who are committing or suspected of committing crimes on or near school property.
- Assists the principal and staff in dealing with disruptive students
- Works with local law enforcement and school district officials to enhance the safety of the campus and students; provides information to staff and students concerning property protection and safety measures; maintains positive working relationships with students, staff, and outside agencies
- Supervises students and ensures their safety, development, growth, skill achievement, and general well-being.
Salary : $19 - $23
