Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Manager to oversee our restaurant operations during evening shifts. The ideal candidate will ensure exceptional customer service, manage staff effectively, and maintain high standards of food safety and quality. This role is crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while supporting the culinary team in delivering outstanding dining experiences.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff during night shifts to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage shift schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels for both front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Oversee food preparation and presentation, maintaining compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist in training new staff members on restaurant policies, procedures, and best practices in customer service.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menu specials and improve overall dining experience.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the restaurant environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in shift management within a restaurant setting, preferably in casual or fine dining environments.
- Strong background in culinary operations or food management is highly desirable.
- Previous roles as an Assistant Manager or similar position will be considered an asset.
- Experience in bartending is a plus, along with knowledge of beverage service standards.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in restaurant management.
