Summary:
Bartenders must be fast, friendly, and entertaining. Bartenders must possess outstanding conversational skills and build and maintain loyalty with our guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains and ensures checklist including but not limited to opening and closing bar procedures
- Prepares all drinks in accordance with established recipes
- Adhere to policies and procedures and health laws
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate supervisor of concerns and observations regarding guest behavior
- Assist guests with beverage selection, demonstrate salesmanship with complete product knowledge while anticipating, identifying, and providing for guest needs
- Responsible for the receipt of monies and settlement of guest checks in accordance with all appropriate policies
- Maintain a clean, organized, stocked and safe work environment within area of responsibility
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time
- Order or requisition liquors and supplies
- Ensure current alcohol laws are being followed
- Maintain inventory of alcohol and cereal malt beverage in accordance with standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
General Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain and maintain gaming license with Kickapoo Tribe Gaming Commission
- Ability to obtain and maintain certification following Golden Eagle Casino Alcohol Service Standards
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing guest services including guest needs assessment, standards of guest service and evaluation of guest satisfaction
- Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes guests want to return by giving each person a positive and memorable experience
- Excellent strong work ethic and team work
- Practice good hygiene
- Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong oral communication and listening skills
- Ability to work at a fast pace in a confined area
- Ability to perform cash transactions accurately
- Must be able to deal effectively with other people both externally and internally
Education and/or Experience
- Must be 21 years of age
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 6 months experience preferred
