Summary :
Responsible for all management aspects of the designated kitchen and its personnel as assigned by the Executive Chef. Ensures quality preparation of all menu items and proper handling / storage of all food items in accordance with standards.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Manages kitchen on respective shift and work all stations as required.
Oversees all food preparation, production and assembly of food menu items by following recipes and yield guides
Arrange orders for daily and upcoming events ensuring proper usage of all food items
Checks freshness and quality of food and maintains adequate inventory levels
Formulates training outlines as needed for job standards to ensure all employees understand and have the skills to provide quality food and dish presentations
Monitor and manage staffing levels and labor usage to stay within budgeted guidelines
Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements : Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years experience working in a supervisory position at a full-service, high-volume restaurant or hotel preferred.
Knowledge of knife skills, basic understanding of kitchen equipment and operation of kitchen equipment
Proven experience of food cost controls by expanding and condensing food recipes
Ability to plan, develop and execute featured food items as requested
Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items and standard food recipes
Proven experience providing high level of guest service
Basic knowledge of computer skills, calculators and kitchen equipment
Ability to accurately perform basic math skills for measurements of recipes
Must be at least 21 years old
High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal
Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
Verify right to work in the United States
