Position Overview
The Claims Specialist should be an individual with broad knowledge and skills in office claims and legal administration who will assists the partners/owners, field investigators and claims adjusters at this extremely busy insurance adjusting and private investigation firm.
The Claims Specialist must be able to perform administrative and office support activities to ensure efficient day-to-day operations of the office.
The Claims Specialist must be able work in an Independent Work Environment while working with other team members to complete all claims investigations required
Job Description
- Establishes claim investigations by initiating contacts/ identifying correct contacts, making appointments
- Maintaining and supervising firm calendar
- Be proactive and a team-player and can manage high-volume work.
- Answer general phone inquiries using a professional and courteous manner.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning, faxing, and copying
- May be called upon to assist with special projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal oral and written communication skills is a must.
- Must have the ability to communicate accurately and clearly both orally and in writing.
- Must have strong knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Working knowledge of computers; specifically, experience in Microsoft Office is preferable (MS Work; MS Excel; MS Outlook).
- Must have superior organizational skills and accuracy. Excellent problem solving and people skills required.
- Excellent time management skills; ability to multi-task
- Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
