Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Barback to join our team in a vibrant nightlife environment. The Barback plays a crucial role in supporting bartenders and ensuring that the bar operates smoothly. This position requires a proactive individual who thrives in fast-paced settings, possesses excellent organizational skills, and is committed to providing exceptional service.
Duties
- Assist bartenders by restocking supplies, including liquor, beer, wine, and mixers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring all surfaces are clean and free of clutter.
- Operate the Aloha POS system for order entry and inventory management.
- Handle cash register transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Support food service operations by assisting with food handling and delivery from the kitchen.
- Prepare garnishes and assist in the preparation of drinks as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a nightclub, restaurant, or hotel setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and health regulations is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are required.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed.
