Job Summary:
The House Manager for an Adult Foster Care House is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the home, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for residents. This role includes managing staff, coordinating care, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resident Care:
- Ensure residents receive appropriate care, support, and supervision.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Monitor residents' health and well-being, addressing any issues promptly.
- Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise caregiving staff.
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and training.
- Operations Management:
- Oversee daily operations, including meal planning, housekeeping, and maintenance.
- Ensure the home is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Manage the household budget, including expenses for supplies, food, and maintenance.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations for adult foster care homes.
- Keep accurate records of residents' care, staff schedules, and financial transactions.
- Prepare for and participate in inspections and audits.
- Family and Community Relations:
- Act as the primary point of contact for residents' families, keeping them informed and involved.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive community atmosphere.
- Coordinate with external healthcare providers and community resources.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in healthcare, social work, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in caregiving, healthcare, or residential management is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to handle emergencies and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Certifications: First Aid/CPR certification; other relevant certifications may be required based on state regulations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and assist residents as needed.
- Capable of standing, walking, and performing various physical tasks throughout the day.
Additional Requirements:
- Background check and drug screening.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
