Job Summary
The Beauty Sales Merchandiser is responsible for managing and enhancing product displays, building relationships with retail staff, and driving sales for beauty brands within retail stores. This role combines elements of merchandising, customer service, and sales, requiring excellent product knowledge, visual merchandising skills, and a passion for beauty products.
Key Responsibilities
- Merchandising & Display:
- Create and maintain attractive product displays that adhere to brand standards.
- Ensure all products are correctly stocked, organized, and visually appealing on shelves.
- Set up promotional displays, signage, and special events in alignment with marketing plans.
- Rotate products to enhance visibility and maintain freshness, particularly for seasonal or limited-edition items.
- Sales & Relationship Building:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with store managers, staff, and other key personnel.
- Act as the brand ambassador, promoting products to store employees and training them on product benefits.
- Address customer inquiries and demonstrate products to increase sales.
- Collect and analyze feedback on product preferences and trends from store associates and customers.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels and place orders to ensure consistent product availability.
- Track product sell-through rates and report any shortages or overstock to supervisors.
- Collaborate with retail management to manage inventory and adjust product displays based on sales trends.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and merchandising efforts.
- Analyze sales data to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for growth.
- Share insights on market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences with the brand team.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in sales, merchandising, or retail, ideally within the beauty or personal care industry.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in sales or beauty merchandising are a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with customers and retail staff effectively.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail for product placement and inventory management.
- Sales-driven mindset with the ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Basic knowledge of beauty products and current beauty trends.
Working Conditions
- Flexibility in work hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
- Ability to travel between different retail locations if necessary.
- Physical stamina to handle merchandising tasks, such as lifting boxes and arranging displays.
