Golden Group Home Services is seeking to hire a Residential Services Director to be based in South Portland, Maine office located at 324 Cummings Rd, South Portland, ME 04106 with regular travel to support programs in Bangor and other Locations,

Salary range $ 80,000-$86,000 /PA plus Benefits

RESIDENTIAL SERVICES DIRECTOR (RSD) JOB DESCRIPTION

The Role Summary

The Residential Services Director (RSD) reports to the CEO and leads the management of residential programs’ services to ensure and optimize the Highest quality service standards, Programs Agenda implementation, increase residents’ satisfaction, and ensure un-parallel compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations including, but not limited to HCBS, ISP, PCP.

This position of the Residential Services Director does also engage a variety of more tasks including processing the clients intake and moving out of clients from the residential care facility.

The RSD will also ensure a positive atmosphere with a focus on the growth and development of Golden Group Home Services LLC Supporting the CEO and other Senior Team to grow and manage the SIP Implementation Process.

The Residential Services Director will:

  • Ensuring a highest quality of care and program compliance is maintained in the Golden Group Homes Services by: Leading and owning the Residential Services, offering support, guidance, and supervision to various residential program Team members; ensuring staff capacity development; providing in-service education, continuing education, and ensure staff complete state and agency-required trainings and certifications programs
  • Respond to state vendor calls and use other referrals and connections to admit clients to the agency.
  • Assist with the process of transferring clients out of the agency.
  • Work with case workers and the Licensed Clinical Social Worker to develop and implement client-specific plans, including, but not limited to, Personal Centered Plans, Positive Support Plans, and Behavioral Management Plans.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures to promote the growth and quality of the agency.
  • Ensure the health and safety of all clients in the care of the agency.
  • Develop and maintain positive professional relations with medical offices, referral agencies, case workers, guardians, state departments, and other resources. The Residential Services Director will always maintain the positive reputation of the company.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance Director to ensure the company follows HCBS and OADS rules and regulations.
  • Coordinate and work closely with the entire agency’s Administrative Team to ensure proper services are provided to all clients in the agency’s care.
  • Ensure Incident Reports are completed in the proper time, period and report all necessary incidents to EIS.
  • Submit requests for new authorizations and renewal of existing authorizations without delays whenever necessary. Collaborate with the CEO in this regard to avoid delays or duplications.
  • Attend all regular, weekly staff meetings, unless another appropriate scenario arrives that would prevent the Director of Residential Services from attending said meetings.
  • Keep company morale high by recognizing the hard work done by staff, praising quality work, and
  • reporting grievances to other Management members to ensure any staff complaints are acknowledged and addressed.
  • Follow and respect the Chain of command in making various decisions that engage the company.
  • Propose, suggest or bring on the table critical ideas, thoughts or projects that need to be implemented in the agency. The Management Team will decide on the implementation after a team decision is taken.
  • Submit a weekly report to the CEO of the company on the overall situation of clients supported by the agency. and all other shareholders.

  • Familiar with the State Agencies like DHHS, Office of Aging and Disability Services (OADS), Child Protective Services (CPS), and Adult Protective Services (APS) regulations, policies, and IT systems and/or have experience working with or at DHHS/OAD
  • Programs / Project Management, Presentation and Reporting

Required Qualifications, Experience and other Skills.

  • Master’s (Preferred) or Bachelor’s (Required) Degree in social work, Medical or related field required or 15 years of experience in the field.
  • Professional Certification and Membership are highly recommended.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when necessary and appropriate.
  • Thorough knowledge of people and Team Management-related, Federal and State, rules, laws and regulations.
  • Ability to learn and stay updated about State rules and regulations for section 21 and 29 waivers of Maine care.
  • Strong Computer and Digital Media skills
