Golden Hill Post Acute is seeking a passionate DSD! We are a beautiful skilled nursing facility in central San Diego. Close to downtown and Balboa Park.
We are a 99 bed skilled nursing facility with a subacute unit- short term and long term patients- great opportunity to develop skills in the subacute and skilled setting.
Compensation dependent on experience.
Job Description
As Director of Staff Development, your primary role is to plan, organize, develop, and direct portions of the New HireOrientation and conduct In-Service Educational Programs for Certified Nursing Assistants, Nursing Assistants, and other facility staff, Oversee CNA Staffing in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the Administrator, Director of Nursing, or Human Resources Representative to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care is maintained at all time.
A DSD MUST BE:
Compassionate, Professional, Good and Effective Communicator, and Good Organizational skills
Must have experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, etc.
Must possess skills in leadership and communication.
Must possess creativity, integrity, and initiative.
A minimum of 3 year(s) of experience in a skilled nursing/ long-term care facility.
- Willing to learn knew ideas and is open to challenges.
- Flexible and adaptable to changes.

Qualifications:
-Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered or Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of California.
-BLS Certified
-Certified in Staff Development, preferred.
