What are the responsibilities and job description for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) position at Golden Hour Wellness?
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) – In-Home Therapy (Naperville & Clarendon Hills, IL)
About Us:
Golden Hour Wellness is a growing mental health and wellness clinic dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care. Our services include ketamine infusion therapy, talk therapy, and medication management, and we are now expanding into Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to further support individuals with behavioral and developmental needs. By integrating these services, we aim to create a holistic approach to mental and behavioral healthcare, ensuring our patients receive the support they need in every aspect of their well-being.
Why This Opportunity is Unique:
This role is perfect for a BCBA who has always dreamed of entrepreneurship but doesn't want to deal with back-office responsibilities. We handle all administrative, billing, and operational tasks so you can focus on what you do best—providing exceptional patient care. You will have full autonomy to treat patients as you see fit while being part of a supportive team that values collaboration and professional growth.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced BCBA to join our team as our first in-house BCBA hire. This role is perfect for someone who is not only passionate about providing ABA therapy in patients' homes in the Naperville and Clarendon Hills areas but also interested in growing into a leadership position as we expand our ABA program.
As the first BCBA on our team, this individual will have the unique opportunity to shape the future of our ABA services, establish best practices, and potentially grow into a Clinical Director of ABA Services or a similar leadership role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support a team of Behavior Technicians by supervising clinical duties and providing feedback on the implementation of therapy procedures in both in-home and clinic-based settings.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide ABA therapy in patients' homes and oversee therapy implementation.
- Train and supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) as needed.
- Serve as a point-of-contact for families regarding progress, challenges, and specific interventions.

- Coordinate care with schools and other professionals on client-specific matters.
- Create and maintain current client programming, data analysis, assessments, and programmatic changes.
- Assist in the development of creative and effective parent-training programs.
- Create, maintain, and implement training procedures for new and veteran team members.
- Conduct initial assessments for new clients.
- Complete behavior intervention plans, functional analyses, and functional behavior assessments (FBAs).
- Manage a caseload of clients receiving behavior analytic services based on the needs of the clinic.
- Complete paperwork, phone calls, and/or peer-to-peer reviews necessary for insurance authorizations for new and ongoing services.
- Cover direct 1:1 sessions as needed.
- Conduct appropriate supervision based on BACB guidelines, including collecting and maintaining records for all supervisees.
- Conduct team meetings with staff, clients, and families as needed.
- Generate regular summary reports and goals.
- Provide verbal feedback and document competency observations/training each month for Behavior Technicians.
- Participate in meetings as assigned.
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant records.
- Adhere to and promote professional standards of conduct per BACB ethical guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing training as assigned.
- Provide behavior analytic consultation for schools or other private institutions as assigned.
- Prioritize and deliver optimal levels of authorized client services, including protocol modification, caregiver training, and assessment and treatment planning.
