JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Kitchen Assistant
Reports To: Restaurant Manager/ Head Cook/ Franchisee
MUST HAVE EXPERiENCE COOKING CARIBBEAN FOOD
Job Summary: To provide support to Head Cook while maintaining supplies, handling and preparing food, cleaning the kitchen, keeping cooking utensils organized and clean to ensure delivery of quality products based on Golden Krust recipe to our patrons in a timely manner. Must have experience with cooking Caribbean dishes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Head Cook in the preparation or cooking of products based on Golden Krust recipe having food items a timely manner
- Responsible for cooking on specific days & whenever the Head Cook is absent.
- Dishwashing Duties
- Replenish steam table and food display warmer in attractive manner.
- Manage and oversee the overall operation of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Cook.
- Assist Head Cook in keeping apprise of the reduction of waste.
- Assist Head Cook in daily inventory count and balancing of inventory at delivery and the proper temperature maintenance of the food items based on health standards.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, sanitary environment and ensure that all the local Health Department policies and procedures are in compliance.
- · Any other duties that may be assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma preferred
- Must have excellent knife skills
- Safe Serve Certificate
- Must have experience in cooking Caribbean food
