A Banquet Server is responsible for delivering and serving food and beverage items to banquet guests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner in the Golden Nugget’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.

A Banquet Server is responsible for delivering and serving food and beverage items to banquet guests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner in the Golden Nugget’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.
Responsibilities
- Assist and prepare in set up of the banquet area prior to guest arrival to ensure room design is executed correctly
- Maintain timeline of events to ensure seamless service
- Anticipate guests' service needs, including asking questions of guests to better understand their needs and watching/listening to guest preferences and acting on them whenever possible.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- Follow all state and local laws for serving alcohol responsibly
- Maintain cleanliness and condition of stations, tables, and other tools, following all set-up guidelines
- Maintain complete knowledge of the daily scheduled group functions, times, locations, amount of people; location of all Golden Nugget function space and names of rooms; all styles of meeting and banquet room settings
- Strong communication skills
- Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor
- Must be available for various shifts including early morning, late nights, double shifts, occasional triple shifts, occasional split shifts, weekends, holidays, and long hours
- Understanding of basic room diagrams for station setups and seating charts for guests
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group environments to customers, clients, and or employees of organizations that we serve
- 1 year prior food service experience required, preferably in Banquets
