It is the responsibility of the Golden Nugget Las Vegas Security Officer to perform basic and advanced security functions and Guest Services for the Golden Nugget/Landry’s Inc. Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safety and welfare of all guests and employees.
- Responsible for maintaining order and keeping the peace on the property.
- Perform area-based security patrols in assigned areas throughout the property.
- Consistently deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees.
- Exercise good judgment in solving problems and resolution of guest issues.
- Provide medical assistance to persons in need, including First Aid and CPR when necessary.
- Uphold and enforce gaming regulations, company policies, and procedures, as well as all Federal and State laws and regulations.
- Read, interpret, and analyze security reports and other company documents daily.
- Based on location, may be required to conduct investigations into a variety of internal and external incidents and create detailed reports to reflect findings.
- Monitor incidents resulting in loss and investigate to determine the source of the loss.
- Work a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the operation, including nights and weekends when necessary.
- Display professional conduct, sound judgment, the highest level of professional integrity and a strong work ethic.
- This position requires standing or walking for long periods of time.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors/Manager.
- Based on location, may be required to perform legal detainments when it is legal to do so.
- At times, may be responsible for verifying casino guests are of legal age before entering any gaming areas.
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 25 pounds at a time.

- Working knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, policies and procedures.
- Working knowledge of state and local laws and how to apply them.
- Must successfully complete company and gaming background screening process.
- Ability to properly use security equipment such as; two way radio, handcuffs, etc.
- Minimum age requirement is 21.
- Golden Nugget Basic Security Academy.
- Golden Nugget Handcuffing.
- Golden Nugget Defensive Tactics.
- In-Service review training.
- License Requirements.
- Gaming Registration.
- Current Alcohol Management Certification.
- Current Nevada Driver’s License.
- Current American Red Cross or Equivalent Adult CPR Certification.
