Overview :
The Executive Steward oversees staff responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen(s) or other food preparation areas. Assists in cleaning equipment or food preparation areas as needed. Responsible for inventory control and kitchen equipment, item management. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local food safety regulations.
Responsibilities :
The cleaning and washing all kitchen equipment, pots, and pans.
The cleaning, washing, and storing all china, silverware, and glasses using the dishwasher.
The delivering stock from receiving department and storing it.
The taking out kitchen trash, including but not limited to grease and food particles from garbage disposals.
The cleaning floors in the kitchen area and cookers.
The safety and security of all employees and guest.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
At least 2 years of Stewarding Management experience in a similar environment preferred.
At least 4 years of Hotel Management experience preferred.
Experience handling large banquet events of 200 or more.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required.
Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable experience.
Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals.
Must present an image of excitement and enthusiasm, while being able to project a professional appearance and demeanor.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
Display strong work ethic and team work.
Ability to change oil in deep fryerlift fryer and drain oil, either by lifting the fryer bucket and / or releasing the drain lever on the bigger units.
Ability to follow up on all assignments concerning special functions etc., also check to make sure all kitchen outlets are well maintained and clean to standards.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays if necessary.
Strong Computer Skills : MS Office Suit software, Word, Excel, Outlook.
Must be able to operate efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without losing sight of timeframes and deadlines.
Ability to maintain exceptional organization of storage areas and clean and sanitary kitchens.
