Overview :
Navigator - Restaurant
A Navigator is the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for presenting exceptional customer service to ensure the guests first impression of the restaurant is a positive one.
Responsibilities :
- Greet guests in a professional, pleasant and helpful manner and directs them to their seats promptly and present them with menus
- Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely manner
- Maintain knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and restaurant promotions to provide accurate information to guests
- Handle guest complaints or issues professionally or bring them to the manager when necessary
- Take to-go orders over the phone and in person
- Responsible for a point-of-sale register and accepting credit cards, cash, comps or in payment of food and beverage charges
- Engage with guests to ensure they're happy with food and service
- Refill drinks and clear plates as needed during guests dining experience.
- Monitors restaurant activity to determine seating / dining flow.
- Performs opening and closing duties as directed by supervisor or manager
- Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures
- Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service
- Performs any other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
1 year of restaurant experience preferred
Organizational skills
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Positive attitude
Work well in a team environment
Ability to multitask
Availability on weekdays, weekends, nights, mornings, and holidays
Must be able to read and write in English and handle math calculations
