Golden Pass LNG, a joint venture of Qatar Energy & ExxonMobil, has an exciting opportunity for maintenance analyzer/measurement technician at our Sabine Pass, TX location (approximately 10 minutes from Port Arthur, TX). We are looking for team members that have a proven track record of providing support, have strong intrapersonal and communication skills, and are self-motivated and self-directed to be a part of our transformation from an import facility to the premier LNG exporter in North America.
The analyzer/measurement technician will be responsible for all analyzer instruments and equipment. This includes, but not limited to the installation, operation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of analytical measurement equipment. This person will also be held accountable for all aspects of gas measurement within the facility, including but not limited to, the day-to-day upkeep and calibration of analytical sampling, measurement and telemetry equipment and safe operations of the Golden Pass Terminal.
Essential Duties / Functions
The analyzer/measurement technician will be responsible for all analyzer instruments and equipment. This person will also be held accountable for all aspects of gas measurement within the facility, including but not limited to, the day-to-day upkeep and calibration of analytical sampling, measurement and telemetry equipment and safe operations of the Golden Pass Terminal.
Essential Duties / Functions
- Perform routine analyzer maintenance and calibrations, repairs, and preventative maintenance on measurement equipment in order to ensure instruments are in compliance with Golden Pass measurement program and industry standards.
- Use charts and data to conduct analysis and properly diagnose equipment failures.
- Knowledge of sample system designs and maintenance.
- Audit vendors to meet company expectations, routinely monitor services provided by 3rd party vendors to maintain company safety standards.
- Proactively ensure all work is conducted in full compliance with the Safety Management System, including safety regulations and positively support all safety initiatives and improvements.
- Ensure the maintenance and records of safety critical elements are maintained as part of all maintenance activities.
- Actively participate in all aspects of maintenance activities and provide input.
- Perform inspections in accordance with plant safety, federal and state regulations to ensure compliance.
- Ability to maintain qualifications and operate all support equipment required in the performance of daily duties.
- High School Diploma and relevant work experience required
- Bachelor or Associate degree or relevant technical discipline or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Experience working in an LNG facility.
- ABB, Ametek, GE, Emerson analzyer systems experience
- Working knowledge of different analyzer systems including Gas Chromatographs, Moisture, O2
- General knowledge of instrumentation and 4-20 mA signals
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
