Description
Golden Pass LNG, a joint venture of Qatar Energy & ExxonMobil, has an exciting opportunity in Operations at our Sabine Pass, TX location (approximately 10 minutes from Port Arthur, TX). We are seeking an ISBL/OSBL Supervisor with a minimum of eight years of related experience in oil and gas manufacturing facilities with at least five years of supervisory experience.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated recent operations or relevant experience with employee development, daily production planning and outlook, product scheduling outlook interface, production schedules, communication to stakeholders and upper management, outage planning and coordination, and maintenance/project interfaces. The successful candidate will have strong intrapersonal and communication skills, self-motivated and self-directed and will be instrumental in our transformation from an import facility to the premier LNG exporter in North America.
The ISBL/OSBL Supervisor is a DOT covered position (PHMSA)
Essential Duties / Functions
- Interfaces with the Maintenance Supervisors to plan and ensure equipment availability for maintenance.
- Participates in planning daily engineering/maintenance related activities as efficiently as possible and sets priorities in consultation with the Operations Specialist.
- Communicate with other ISBL/OSBL Supervisors and Plant Superintendent.
- Participates in analysis on frequent failures of equipment.
- Analyzes plant operations performance on his/her shift and makes the decisions required to get maximum performance and reliability.
- Sets process guidelines for efficient operation and monitors adherence.
- May be required in emergency situations to report to work during unscheduled time; Assumes duties on the Emergency Response Team on his/her shift in an emergency event; or for incidents that does not require activation or notification of outside agencies/authorities.
- Ensures training and development of operators to ensure a highly qualified and safety minded operations team.
- Conduct employee performance reviews.
- Performs administrative activities to develop budget recommendations.
- Develops schedules, assigns, directs, motivates, monitors, and evaluates the work of operators; reviews and approves time sheets; schedules vacations.
- Develops and updates operational procedures and ensures adherence to technical and operating policies, procedures, and standards; applies Health, Safety and Environmental Standards in all working procedures.
- Interfaces with Marine Supervisor and ship officers to conduct pre-transfer meeting, coordinates pre-unloading ship activities, records events, calculates cargo quantities, and accurately completes customer unloading receipts.
- Responsible for all daily Liquefaction train’s operations, pipeline/ gas scheduling. Plant/ PL PIC on all off shifts.
- Responsible for operator work schedules (CRM compliance), Development, and Performance appraisal.
- Daily interface with Maintenance supervision to develop Daily Operations Guidelines.
- Manages consumables inventory and interface with procurement for purchase and Plant Supt for outlook and budgeting.
- Manages resource needs for off shift activities or emergency situations.
Minimum education required of the position
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor or Associate degree in engineering or relevant technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
Minimum experience required of the position
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience in petroleum or chemical manufacturing facilities with at least 5 years of supervisory experience.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in an LNG facility
- Experience with cryogenic, refrigeration, gas processing, and/or steam
- Experience with Emerson Delta.
- Working knowledge of plant installations and specifications with experience in accepted industry procedures, safety, and environmental policies.
