Job Summary:
We are seeking an Events Coordinator for Leisure World Seal Beach. Events Coordinator plays a crucial role in the planning, organizing, and, and executing various events and experiences planned for the Shareholders within and outside the community. This position involves creating trip advertisements, managing event lists, facilitating ticket sales, generating sales reports, hosting events, setup and tear down internal GRF events and providing various administrative support to the administrative staff with reservations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or related field preferred or similar event planning related work experience.
- Proven experience in event planning and coordination, senior living or similar environment desired but not required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Knowledge of budgeting and vendor management.
- Competent in word processing programs (e.g. Microsoft365).
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends required.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a diverse calendar of events and activities for shareholders.
- Coordinate all aspects of event planning, including scheduling, logistics, budgeting, and vendor management.
- Collaborate with residents, staff, and community partners to ensure events meet the needs and interests of the senior living community.
- Promote events through various channels and encourage participation and ticket sales.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to events and activities.
- Order supplies for special events and activities.
This position is primarily in an office environment. Often attending events at various locations (e.g. concert halls, outdoor venues, and locations) within the Leisure World Seal Beach community.
Salary range for this position is $20.79 up to $28.27
