The Service Technician role revolves around maintaining and servicing amusement and gaming equipment, both at the company's facilities and at various customer locations. Reporting to the Service Manager, this position involves repairing components, responding to service calls, offering technical support, and ensuring excellent customer service.
Job Responsibilities
- Service and maintain amusement and gaming equipment, including but not limited to cleaning, checking light bulbs, paper, ribbons, etc., and replacing as necessary.
- Respond promptly to service calls at customer locations, completing gaming service reports on-site and turning them in in the same day.
- Offer phone technical support to customers on amusement and gaming devices.
- Assist in moving and installing equipment at different locations, ensuring all required paperwork is completed.
- Perform networking duties and resolve jukebox issues/problems.
- Provide on-call service for night/weekend service calls and complete on-call sheets with relevant information.
- Maintain a clean and organized workbench and work area.
- Report equipment inventory depletion and assist in maintaining a clean working environment.
- Performing additional tasks as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the overall success of the team and organization.
- Assist with and implement software updates as needed.
Education
One year certificate from college or technical school, or equivalent experience.
Qualifications and Experience
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass drug and background checks.
- Strong mathematical and reasoning abilities as well as intermediate technical knowledge and computer skills relevant to the role.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, managers, and across functions (written and verbal).
- Must be organized with strong attention to detail.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have direct reports.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee works around gaming and amusement equipment daily. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee is exposed to moderate conditions including temperatures ranging from 50°F to 90°F. Normal conditions are climate controlled.

The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands or arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds without assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds without assistance.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use repetitive motions with upper extremities, feel, reach with hands and arms.
Travel
Daily travel within the designated area is required for this position.
